        99% sure the frame and backplate is made from Neusilber but that alloy got around 60% of Copper in it so that color is a common thing. Core is most probably a blued iron sheet core judging by the pics.

        Is it possible they also made reverse side sheet cores as well as front side sheet cores? I'm looking at an EKII with the front side shifted to the left but the reverse side the core is centered. Here is a cropping of both obverse and reverse.

          Hi Harold,

          the cross on the spange is IMO not the type with two sheets but has a massive core, which is just loose.

            So in your opinion the core is a solid piece and he must have centered it when he flipped the cross over?

                Kay, the CFZ and 'modern fake' frames are so similar it's scary but there's subtle differencies imo.

                I'm with Michel, either a loose core or just not symmetrical.
