Hi, I'm mostly into TR stuff but I have been looking for one of these in decent shape with the "cut out" detail in the middle. From what I understand from reading old threads, this piece is also being copied so opinions would be much appreciated on authenticity as well as any indication as to who the maker could be if the badge is original

That looks like a high quality original to me. The pin is reminiscent of one of the AWS variations.

Thank you very much for the feedback Mike, much appreciated and reassuring considering some of the repros I saw (after I bought it) looked great to me too. I had a similar one in the 70's that I let go wih most of my collection but its such a nice badge it was one of the ones I really wanted to get back.
