Fancy 1849 Russ Sword - need translation

What kind of a sword is this?

Here is what needs to be translated:

I can't see the long word clearly enough, but the last word looks like "goda" (year), which usually follows a year date (like 1849 here). The first part is an abbreviated first name and a last name, most likely of the manufacturer.

I thought that was a period after the first letter, but now that I can see it better, I can see that it is one word "Zlatoust", a well known Russian sword manufacturer.

Chip is right, Zlatoust, well known factory from the town of Zlatoust and their famous bladesmith Ivan Boyarshinov. They are still in the business, btw.
