    crystal bowl

    I assume this is not the proper thread so mods feel free to move.
    Anyway, what do you think about this bowl, fantasy or?

      No comments so far. Maybe in wrong section? I tried to find similar items in this forum but no success.
      I would like to know if this bowl is a TR item or some PW fantasy? It is IMO very high quality and detailed.

        Hi there .I would have placed it in the inter war period more so than TR,but will agree that it shows nice workmanship. Is there no makers marking and are you sure it is crystal?

          I think not TR, but WW1 or Weimar period item. I doubt anyone would put so much effort and cost to produce a fantasy piece that is not something highly collectible. Faking Meissen is much more profitable.

              Thanks a lot for your replies!
              I´m a little bit surprised though that there is so little to be found about crystal/glass items related to TR/WW1/Weimar. Even when I made a google search there was very little to be found.

              I will put some oranges in it and place some candles around and I will have a nice christmas set up

                It's called the cornflower pattern and it appears to be cut glass. It definitely is no later than the 1930s.
                The corn flower pattern was a very popular glassware pattern in Europe, the UK and North America starting in early 1900s. It was so popular that it became prevalent in everyday dinnerware glass in the US during the Art Deco period and it's a pattern particularly found in what is called "Depression Glass"; premium give-aways at movie theatres and department store, which emulated more expensive and high-end cut crystal.
