Dear Members,

I picked up some WW2 German items for my collection the other day and also
picked up this very nice helmet.

I believe it to be a

Helmet for officers in the Lifeguard Infantry Company and Lifeguard Cavalry Squadron ?

Anyway, I went to my collection and found that I have another similar helmet from the same era, which I picked up about twenty years ago !

I believe it is a

AUSTRIA HELMET OFFICER DRAGOON IMPERIAL CAVALRY 1890 AUSTRIAN pre WW1 1910 ?


I believe that the helmet I picked up last week, had a plume on top like this one, I found on line is this true ?

Does anyone know where I can purchase a plume like this ?

The two helmets look great together and form a nice display.

Any comments or advice are more than welcome.
