    Unidentified German armband

Not sure how this was used. Maybe training but I thought most training armbands were solid colors? It's WW1 and came with a bunch of Imperial German shoulder boards. Any ideas anybody?

I have this very same armband. I was told that this one and several other patterns were taken from a storage warehouse in the occupation zone after the war ended. I have seen multiples of this one and others. They are perfectly good, but likely never issued.

Armierungs-Bataillon 2, was a labor battalion. They did various manual labor jobs, like dig trenches. string wire, move materiel, pave roads, etc. This band was most likely worn on a uniform.
