Beautiful detail and quality on the ring, these Patriotik Schmucks were very popular, it looks very similar to the Immelman ring sold for 2.5 Marks back then.
Even though you could buy them, I have no knowledge if there are examples of actually awarded ring to pilots, so lets wait for more expert opinion on the matter. Just wanted to say that it is a neat piece.

These rings were definitely not awarded.
Is there a hallmark / silver content mark Klaus?
A similar boxed ring recently sold on ebay.de
Could be the same one.

The ring looks to have at least an "800" hallmark which is visible in Klaus's photos. I can't quite make out for sure if it is an "8" or not, but I can see it's a 3-digit number.

It is a real breathtaking beauty indeed! I sure love all the detail to it! Thanks for sharing pics of it with us, Klaus!
