    EK 2 1914 Junker ?

    Hi all!
In my collection I have this nice cross, looking at the frame I think it can be a production of Junker.
On the ring of suspension presents this brand, which seems like a J.
    What do you think?

    Thanks, CIAO Alex

Yes It's not a J is Y brand, I'm sorry. The cross is very nice though.

Si è una Y non J, mi spiace. La croce è molto bella comunque.

        Ciao

What got me misled as is that I have another EK marked Y in my collection, with a strange double marking.

          Now I show :43 mm X 42,6 mm, 17,7 g

Marked Y on the ring of suspension:

In the first EK lodged the measures are:42,5mmX42,5mm, 17.8g
          What do you think ?

and marked 3 on the ring of the frame

Your cross is Godet, IMO. It´s only badly stamped G.

Kay, at first I compared inner corners of my marked Godet cross with this one. They match.

Both EK2s shown here are made by -- and marked -- "R" in my opinion.
                  Best regards,

The crosses are Y marked and the size is correct size for EK 1914, between 42 - 43 mm.

2nd. cross is marked also on little ring but this last one like appear as Y or V not 3, uncommon double mm on EKII 1919, for my little field experience.

I've checked the inner corner with mi Godet, mm on ring G, and they not matching; Please Miro could be so kind to post your cross to comparison ? Thanks

I am working on it, but I still haven´t photo posting privileges. Btw, one little misunderstanding - I meant second cross (Post No 5) is matching my Godet, not the thread starter. Which also means, Trevor, I don´t think these two "Y" or "R" or "whatever" crosses have same frames. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes agree, Y has to me ever been R

Maybe he's right strepitle, the cross with the double branding, is not marked "Y", but "R".

The design of the interior angles seems to fit:

Bat, I do not understand the "3" brand on the ring frame.
