    My first EK1

I've waited a little while to find the right EK1 for me and I believe I found it in this.

From the info I have it's a vaulted Petz & Lorenz?

I'm not an expert on them so all opinions and info is welcome.

    Thanks in Advance

    JC

Original but made by Otto Schickle - probably 1930s.

        Nice first cross

Thin numbers, skinny "W". Unless my files are wrong, I would say P & L.

          Hi Greg,

In my opinion both crosses you show are made by Otto Schickle.

Here are two by P&L. You can see the overall shape is very different, the crown is different, and the "W" is wider.

            Interesting comparisons.
I do see the difference in the crown.

Otto Schickle. Deumer had slightly different hardware. Check this thread, compare mainly the hinge.

So we decided on a 1930's produced Otto Schickle?

Thanks for the help and information.

I did buy it to fit onto a tunic, but it looks far too nice in it's case. I suppose I'll have to find another one now!

                    Thanks,

                    JC

                      That is my convinced opinion.
