My latest medalbar Saxe-Meiningen

Here's my latest medalbar. EK 2 and Saxe- Meiningen Merit Medal and the cross in the last position I can't find any information about it It resemble's some of the Saxon Crosses on Dave Danner's site, but no matches. Also has anyone seen a Saxe- Meiningen medal with the "fancy" suspension arrangment like this one? Thanks for your input. Regards Chris

It's a Sächsicher Landes-Krieger-Verein Ehrenkreuz 2. Kl. , 2.02.40(d) in Niemann's Bewertungs-Katalog. An unofficial award, it also came without swords.

This Saxon Veteran's cross....

... is extremely scarce, I've seen singles in the 200-250- Euro range. Very hard to find in any condition!

Thanks for the information Rick Have you ever seen a suspension arrangment like the one on the Saxe-Meningen medal? I have looked a lot of pictures of single medal and medals mounted on bars, but this is the only one I have seen with this setup. Is it a rare version of the standard medal Regards Chris
