    Strange ribbon

I would like some opinions on this ribbon please. Its 25 mm and supposedly come of a ribbon roll.
It is really smooth and the weaving isnt as hard as one would expect, so you can jiggle the ribbon sideways very easy if you know that I mean...

I have it in hand and I cant make up my mind about it, one minute I think its fine and the next time I look at it I think maybe its not so fine, and it is really starting to bug me.

UV and burn test are both fine. Threadcount is 44 per 3 cm.

Im thinking its made maybe in the 40 or 50´s? ANY opinions are welcome.

    /peter

Looks good to me, black thread is thinner, loops on both edges. 44 threads is a good sign but not really sure it's a deal breaker since new ribbons can be made like period ones. It's just a bit more expensive to make 'em that way, material and manufacturing wise.

Never underestimate the 'in hand feeling' so it might be modern.

Yes, the in hand feeling is the best test but sometimes it still comes up inconclusive.

      Thanks
