I just got this...Austrian - not really my area, but I certainly like the miniatures!

Don't know why there is a string between the holes on the Karl Truppenkreuz - interesting nonetheless.

Austrian minis are the best!

The first two medals (whatever they were as you never can be sure with this ribbon) were awarded on the "bravery/war ribbon" so swords were not always used or deemed necessary. There were no swords on the actual medals either, unlike the Honour Cross "with swords".
