    EKII Box

    Today
I present this EKII case probably an private purchaising, unfortunaly is an little bit damaged but I hope you appreciate.

Not is an ususal classic box where the cross is showed on "sleeping position" but the inner slide is mobile and permit with a little feet on rear to stay on semi-vertical position.

The Eiserne Kreuz is marked on ring "S-W" Sy und Wagner - Berlin and present cast core tipical of first productions, ring of conjunction of old and new production; this new system production with tooling, to fast than the cast, started after the massive awardings born during the 1915.

The condition are good and appear unworned, now stay in my collection near to her sister.....an EKI cast core, but cracked, with same mark.

    I apologize for my english.

Any comment or info it will be appreciate.

    With friendship

            Hi Max,

That's a very nice looking case and cross. I like these cases which have pull-up inserts for better display of the cross. Impossible to say whether they have been together for near 100 years though of course.

            Regards
            Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

                Nice case!
Interesting that it recalls in some way the case for the EKI, being square instead of rectangular as it would be expected to be for a decoration with ribbon

                      Sorry Trevor,
Have you found the box with or w/out cross inside ? And if yes the band is for combatent or not ?

Because one of these is showed on Bowen book and appear very similar to the your.

                      Thanks in advance for reply
