Please Help Identify These Imperial Soldiers

Hi All,

A friend of mine believes this photo depicts a family member (or two) but knows nothing about the photo. It's a relatively new copy of an older photo so there is no information on the reverse. I am hoping you folks can at least tell me something about the uniforms and/or unit. I'm not even sure what nationality they are.

Both are austro hungarian leutnants (aprox. 1914. if the medal is what I think it is). Hard to tell about the branch/unit. The right one could be Kaiserjager (are they any numbers on buttons?), the left one probably served in an infantry regiment.

The cross is a so-called "Mobilisierungskreuz 1912/13", IMO.
