MAX and Gunzenhausen 2012 Photos and Finds

    Hi guys.

I don't have too much time at the moment, but I wanted to open our own dedicated thread for the MAX and Gunzenhausen 2012 shows, which happened on the same weekend this year (5-6 October).

Unlike the last show thread on the SOS (here), this time I took a bunch of good photos of the Imperial stuff at MAX, which I will post here, along with some words about the show... but all this, later. For now I'll post (top) a photo of one of Weitze's displays, and one of Steve Previtera's. More to come.

Let's see your MAX or Gunze show photos, and Imperial finds posted here (even if you've posted them elsewhere, let's get 'em in here too).

Here are better pictures of the bar. This was to a Bavarian Major by the name of Friedrich Seuter. It was identified and sold to me by Paul Chepurko. (A really great guy for those that don't know him.)

Here is another MAX 2012 purchase: A Duchy of Anhalt officer's bar, featuring both the Anhalt Friedrich Cross and the Anhalt Order of Albert the Bear.

Great finds Tom -- thanks for posting I remember Paul's bar there, and actually I discussed it with him a bit the evening it sold. Didn't know it had sold to you.

Yep. Paul's a great, smart dude.

Here's eMedal's table... and a closer look at that gold and emamel 1870 EK1/2 we discussed some months ago, which I held in my hands at the show.

More pictures to come... let's see some more of your stuff, guys.

I've been at the Gunzenhausen show with my table, and have seen many fine pieces.

It's a pity that I haven't take pictures during the show...

              nice

Great photos, thanks for the slide show. I wouldn't mind having that Italian officers level
SPQR dagger in the last case pic.

Can't believe there's not a single photo of Gunzenhausen? I'd love to see some of the displays, even just the room...
