    Field Bottle 1913

    hello
    does anyone knows this kind of bottle?

    marked with P#S 1913 1/2 MD 1

    i though hungarian, but seems to be not right.
    thankfull for more help

    Looks like a standard Austro-Hungarian issue canteen for foot troops. Normally, this pattern was not painted, so I suspect that was done either during the war or after.

      Hallo rove,
      interesting canteen.
      This type was used extensively by the whole Austro-Hungarian army, but also by mountain troops.
      The color was applied from the factory certainly

      1913= year was made

      1/2 L = half liter

      PS and MD1 i don't know, but I ask to Italian collectors friends of mine very expert on Austro- ungarian materials.

        yes, the painting.
        i knew its austrian, but i never saw it with the painting
        ps. hungary was part of austria...

          PS = Is the manufacturer
          MD1= Is Montur Depot 1, storage equipment No. 1 (Bruenn) actually is called BRNO Czeck Republic.
