Well, I made my decision, at least for the time being. No repair, just slipped it together and put it in a case. I can use one of my beater '14's with DuckyAttached Files

I'm going to have to vote against the super glue. I wouldn't recommend taking it to just any jeweler, but there are some who specialize in silver restoration or high-precision repairs. There are laser soldering machines that can effect a very small and very accurate repair, but most corner jewelry stores don't have them. You should ask around for a reference to someone who can do this kind of work. They would have to remove some of the patina in the immediate area, but if you let them know that you want to preserve it, they will keep it to a minimum. You could also chemically repatinate the repaired area if you're careful, or perhaps the jeweler could do it for you.
Anyway, patina is over-rated. We're not coin collectors.
