Great Ribbon Bar with Enameled Crown from Vet Grouping

I picked this bar up yesterday in a vert group, was the only ww1 item in the group.Id like to finish this bar but but dont know what to add, im thinking on the baden frederick order there must of been a green enemeled wreath? And the Bavarian Military Merit maybe a set of swords and a crown? Any help i can get would be great!!

      Very nice little ribbon bar!

Green enamelled wreath on the Friedrich Order ribbon for sure but it is hard to know for certain if the Bavarian ribbon had swords or swords and crown device. I would put silver swords on it if it were me.

      Good luck with the restoration!

      Kind regards

Thanks for the help on the bar!! Is the crown for a higher order of the Red Eagle order?

Yes I have seen this crown device on Red Eagle Order ribbon before so maybe it has been added to this ribbon which surely represents the Hohenzollern House Order.

This sort of device could also be used on the ribbon for the Princely House Order of Hohenzollern.

          Kind regards

Could the second one be for a Red Eagle Order ?, ive seen them before with black and white ribbons. Curious why the backing if off and the devices removed, could the original owner got more medals like a Hindenburg Cross in the 30s and needed them for another bar?

              You are very welcome.

I would say some "curious" person for whatever idiotic reason has removed the devices post-war.

It is highly unlikely that the second ribbon is for the Crown Order (awarded w/swords on this ribbon). I would be 99% sure it is for the Hohenzollern House Order.

              Kind regards

Correct me if I'm wrong, but HHOX, KO, REO devices on a combatant EKII ribbon should have swords (with or without crown depending on the level of the award), no?

Correct! This lovely device we see here may have been added. It's definitely not the "standard" device for the HHOx.

                  Kind regards

A RAO on a EK ribbon must have the swords. The crown does not look right for that type of bar.
