    Gallipoli Star.

    Hello, dear friends.

Got this from Gallipoli Star for my collection.
Would you like information about the manufacturer?

    Thank you.

    Hi Milton,
Beautiful medal. The internal design resembles JOH WAGNER & Sohn Berlin but neither the tougra nor the pin has any similarity. Actually when a known maker made one they usually put their names on them. IMHO this is jeweller made lovely piece. For more info about the Turkish War Medal I suggest The Turkish War Medal book. http://theturkishwarmedal.blogspot.c...-madalyas.html

      Hello,

      an interesting piece indeed.

In my collection, I have a Harp Madalyası of a very similar (although not identical) jeweller's quality, belonged to an Austrian officer.

Would it be possible that the pin arrangement was changed?

      Best wishes,

      E.L.

Stunning example! I think these awards are under appreciated. Matt

          Good evening, dear friends.

          Thank you for the information!!

Sorry my writing, but I use the translator. I do not know how to read or write a word in English.

I did further research on the play and noticed the following parts.

As Demir said, the medal is very similar to the mosaic manufacturer JOH WAGNER & Sohn Berlin, 2 photos highlighting these parts.

          Boa noite, caros amigos.

I also believe as EL commented that the provision was exchanged pins because if you look the points of the star was abraded.

Acredito também como E.L. comentou, que a disposição dos pinos foi trocada, pois se repararem as pontas da estrela foi limada.

The interesting thing is that the pin that was put in its place, was also made of welded with silver and tin, as the technique used in ancient jewelry.

O interessante é que o pino que foi colocado em seu lugar, também foi feito de prata e soldada com Estanho, como a técnica utilizada na joalheria antiga.

I like the enamel and the pattern beneath but there are several things I dislike, namely the pock marks on the back and the balls at the tips seem overly large.

It doesn't look like it ever had a hinge and catch, the filed/abraded areas are not in the right place for that. So I don't think a replaced pin system.

It has a crudeness that puts me off it, to be honest.

I agree with Rich about the pin.
