    I'll take one of each...

This is apparently from a Godet guide to decorations put out in 1915. There are several decorations created that year (as well as before), but no 1916 or later decorations such as the Carl-Eduard-Kriegskreuz of Saxe-Coburg, which was authorized on July 19, 1916.

I shrunk these images to fit them in the posting limits here. Larger images, measuring about 1100 x 1700 pixels and 400-460 kB in size each, may be found here:

Very nice Dave. I'll take one of each board also.

Something to be learned here... The Godet combo as opposed to the Wagner combo. Explains some photo comparisons showing the Wiederholungsspange from each.

If I am seeing the micro print properly, these were "informational" posters, not that Godet was MAKING all of these for sale, right?

How about a nice clear zoom in on that 1915 Turkish War Medal star?

I would be glad just to have the EKs pictured, yall can keep the rest of the Imperial stuff.
Interested in candid/private Hitler, KIA, and Holocaust photos. Also any AH related memorabilia--silverware, linen, crystal, china...
            All the best,
            Chris

Very neat pictures. I have a Godet catalog showing there selection of
miniatures, button hole awards and order chains.

Does anyone have an authentic Godet Weiderholungsspane to post? I thought
that Wagner was the ONLY company to make official ones.

You're right Reecky. "Zusammgestellt von Godet"

"Aufnahmen von Tech. Photo. Archiv, Berlin-Friedenau"

So Godet assembled the photos and take no credit for manufacturing the awards. Sure looked like a board of all their awards...

The text says: "Deutsche, österreichisch-ungarische und türkische Kriegsauszeichnungen - Sämtliche Orden sind in etwa halber Größe wiedergegeben. Aufnahmen vom Techno-Photographischen Archiv, Berlin-Friedenau. Zusammengestellt von W. Godet & Sohn, Kgl. Hofjuweliere, Berlin W." ("German, Austro-Hungarian and Turkish War Decorations - All orders are reproduced in about half size. Photos from the Technical-Photographic Archive, Berlin-Friedenau. Compiled by W. Godet & Sohn, Royal Court Jewelers, Berlin W."). Note that several of the awards - notably the MMJO - appear to be copies.

On the War Medal, below is about as close as you get without losing the detail. I also adjusted the midtones to try to give a little better clarity.

Dave, can you do anything with the Wiederholungsspange?

There are also a few awards missing, such as the Prussian Royal House Order of Hohenzollern and Military Merit Cross, the Württemberg Military Merit Medal and Merit Cross with Swords, and the Lippe Military Merit Medal. The Württemberg Wilhelm Cross is also missing, but that was authorized in September 1915, so it may have missed the cut. Similarly, all of the Hanseatic Crosses date from August and September 1915. The Bavarian Military Merit Crosses and Saxon Merit and Albert Crosses with Swords are missing, but their associated orders are there. A number of orders are not pictured, many of which would end up being rarely awarded in the war, but in most cases Godet wouldn't have known that at the time.

Not really. Here it is with the midtones turned down to try to contrast the black from the silver and bring any detail out of the shadows, but it doesn't look much better:

Thanks for that TWM closeup, Dave!

While I was HOPING for our old standby the "BB&Co.," that is clearly the icky painted recycled tunafish can variety. Negative confirmation, anyway, that "improvements" weren't out that early!

Greg, I posted some great closeups of one, presumably they are still there.

Dave, thank you. Wish we could get some more detail out of it but it's still a telling photo.
