Uhlan Tschapka Question

Can someone give me the current price range for an enlisted ersatz (metal) Uhlan tschapka complete with liner, leather chinstrap and proper eagle plate and black and white field badge mounted to mortarboard. No rabatte. Helmet is in overall very good condition.

I've searched current and closed eBay auctions but I couldn't find any listings to use as comps. I've also looked on several internet sites specializing in pickelhaube but the ones I've visited don't currently have Uhlan helmets for sale.

I don't know the answer but there are several guys on the pickelhaube forum who specialize in these.

I bought such an ersatz steel Tschapka a few years ago from a dealer in England and paid about $600. More recently I have seen one go on Ebay for 7 or 8. In the last few years Tschapkas, which I collect, have gone "through the roof".
