    Brunswicker Doctor?

Just saw this, Ribbons are tight, medals sewn down to keep them from moving. Red Cross medal is silver, the 25 year cross is tomback, the 18 year is iron (magnetic). A pre39 set up for 40 years of service lacking the oakleaves on the ribbon?

I know the hindy is missing, but then I never wore the National Defense Medal either ( I was alive in 65 Medal). Doctor at the Front?

    Thoughts?

Rear pin seems to be flat going into the backing.

        Unfortunately a put-together bar.

Ribbons are bad and I am not so sure about some medals/devices. Medals show inconsistent age as do some of the ribbons....some intentionally made to look old with dirt etc (red cross ribbon).

Do you mind me asking where you saw this? I discussed this bar with a dealer a few months back.

        Kind regards
        Pierce

I agree with the above evaluations.

Adding to that, from what I can see of it, the Brunswick ribbon is close but no cigar.

As said, this is no good. Besides the material used:

the missing Hindenburg cross is very (too!) odd on a Wehrmacht active, the Prussian Red Cross medal "2nd class" is actually an altered 3rd class, and the 2nd class should be accompanied by a 3rd class, as should a Wehrmacht long service award 1st class be accompanied by a 3rd, not 2nd class.

Exceptions to these are not unknown, of course, but this is too much - even if the materials were right.

and the horse-pin is too small,
                looks like a piece for a ribbon-bar.
