    Austrian with 13 medal bar

As in the thread before, this was also one of the finds from this morning's fleamarket:

I counted 13 medals on this bar:

As always, if You don't mind, tell me what decorations has he got.

    And what rank is this ? 3 stars - a captain ?

    Thanks in advance

    Robert

A SPECTACULAR photo to an officer who had virtually everything possible! The Leopold with War Decoration and Swords was easily the equivalent of a Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for significance-- but much, much rarer.

        Too bad no name!!!!

Very nice picture , all he has missing is the Maria Theresa Cross !

I thought Rick of all people would be able to pin this guy down

Also looking at the pic closer has this man individually stitched each medal directly to his tunic ???

They seem a bit funnily spaced to be on a bar , any thoughts ?

You are right, but not stitched. Austrians had the use to have a loop for every medal on the chest. The typical German medal bar was uncommon for Austria.

              Best regards

              Daniel
