I think a Polish regimental badge.

It’s not Polish as far as I know. Polish badges typically will have full or abbreviated text identifying their purpose as a regimental or commemorative badge.

It seems to be too plain to be a Russian regimental badge. They usually have more information on them. I'm not greatly familiar with Freikorps badges, but then the screw-post is not your more typical German way of attaching things. Wish I could shed more light on this.

I'd guess it's some sort of religious item, assuming it doesn't screw onto something else as a central device.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

                      NICELY DONE.

I'd say that the one here is better quality manufacture than the one illustrated on the website, thus making it even more valuable.

I can't comment on the item itself - I have never even heard of one, however I would pay absolutely NO attention to the $6500 price estimate of that Russian dealer - he has a fake attributed PLM and oaks on the site for the ludicrous sum of $100,000.00

This one is available right now on ebay for $1,595.00

I hope for your sake it is a genuine item.
