    1813 Crosses ??

    Take a look at photos 20, 21 and 27 on the thread headed 'SS Skull' in the SS Forum.

    Are these 1850s versions of the 1813 Iron Cross??

    I've never seen a 1st Class like that one.

    Well, the 1813 second class is not period. It's more likely a WW2 era display piece, or perhaps a centenary copy.

    The 1870 is not a first class. It looks like it might be authentic, but it's a second class with the ring broken off, heavy wear, apparently a ground-dug relic.

      It is hard to say about these without more detailed pics.
      Interested in candid/private Hitler, KIA, and Holocaust photos. Also any AH related memorabilia--silverware, linen, crystal, china...
