Wwi german bugle?

Does anyone can tell me if this WWI bugle is German?

Generally, it looks like an imperial era bugle. That attachment ring is in an odd place, however. Perhaps it came off of the silvered rim of the bell when it was damaged and was just put back on in the wrong place? It looks like it has a reinforcing band along the tube opposite from the bell. I don't know of any military bugle that had that. Is there any evidence that it once had an emblem on the side of the bell? Not all military bugles had one, but most of the time, they did.
