help with two medals

today i bought two medals, can anyone shed any light on them and more importantly the value of them, the one with the neck ribbon is in 18ct gold and the other is in 14ct gold.

i don't think i was crazy, i had a friend of mine who collects british gallantry medals and he is well impressed with the quality and is 100% happy with authenticity, the gold content alone is about £700 and i like them so thats really why i bought them.

The neck order is a Prussian Johanniter Rechtsritterkreuz. From the photos it looks like it may be made by Zehn, and could be marked with a "Z" on the bottom arm. Either way a very nice piece.

The other is a Prussian Kronenorden 3. Class. Also gold (and in the wrong case). The photos are bad and upside down so it's hard to judge maker, but it could be marked on the cylinder or on the bottom cross-arm with any number of different marks. Please let us know if you see a mark -- value and period of manufacture are very dependent on how (if) it's marked.

Both pieces are of hollow construction so the gold content may be deceptive, but there certainly is some gold in them.

the prussians kings were not millionairs - as trevor said the medals are hollow.
