    White/Black/White Ribbon - NOT EK2

Posted this in another thread but thought I would give it its own to get some more exposure. What's the white/black/white ribbon beside beside the EK2 ribbon? Must be Prussian but what award looked this similar to the EK ribbon?

These came with a number of other ribbons. They don't react to UV. Clearly it's not a non-combatant EK2. Couldn't find it on any chart I hunted down such as this one: http://www.worldmedals.co.uk/Rib/germrib.htm

Hoping someone might have the answer...

    Thanx in advance, Rick

For what rason must it be Prussian?

If it's Prussian, it's not for an official state award. Maybe some inofficial club's medal or so...

I just figured the colors indicate Prussian. Admittedly, I know very little about ribbons...

Certainly not disagreeable to sending it to someone who collects these things, was simply hoping to learn what the heck it's for before I do.

Here's the original thread I posted it in: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...60560#poststop

Here's the thread (no responses) on the Blood Order ribbon that was with the group: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...60539#poststop

I think it has nothing to do with the EK, and may be some private club from Prussia (or not) as Sascha says. It's an interesting design.

I first thought it was the ribbon for the Eiserne division medal but it isnĀ“t, no idea what it is but it looks nice and I want it.

Absolutely not, in my opinion. To make a radical change to the design of the Iron Cross ribbon like this would have been unthinkable. Slightly different widths, stripe widths, materials -- maybe. But not this.

Probably for the New Zealand Service Medal, which someone may have hung on an EK2 out of ignorance.

Trevor, you're pretty close. This is defintely not an EK ribbon.
