Ribbon Bar to a brave Imperial NCO

I like this field addition to this ribbon bar.

The metal backing is maker marked " DRP" and the field added Schlesischer Adler is very nice. Why are the swords on the Sachsen award upside down?

Very nice ribbon bar. The last ribbon is does not really look like the Schlesischer Adler ribbon; the white stripe is too wide but perhaps it was the "closest match".

I have one or two examples where the swords are the incorrect way up also. Not sure what the reason is if any.

The swords aren't upside down, the ribbon bar is.

It should be Saxon precedence, with Saxon awards before the Iron Cross, so:

- St. Heinrich-Medaille (probably silver)
- Ehrenkreuz mit Schwertern
- Silberne Friedrich-August-Medaille
- Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse

Thanks for the input. I too had thought it was at first upside down when I posted the picture, but holding it, the pin is definitely in the other direction - meaning the EK would be first, however I know that a Prussian award would be behind Sächische awards...

Interesting in any case.
