Hi Mike,

I would guess the photo would have to date from at least the 1920's. Czechoslovakia wasn't created until 1918 as part of the breakup of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after the war. I have some photos of Czech soldiers just prior to WWII. I'll post a photo or two once I dig them up.

Here's a couple of Czech soldiers just prior to WWII. The top pair is neat as it shows the soldier in the Wehrmacht as well. Yours shows some differences, in the collar especially. Probably a moot point as I see your photo is listed for sale (maybe Dewey would be interested ).
