It is also a very interesting piece from a different perspective: Seattle is a relatively 'young' American city, which burned down completely in 1888 and was rebuilt in 1889. This piece is probably from 1896-1901, and these medals (as you know) are pretty hard to find in any configuration--the American connection makes them that much scarce, IMO. The Regimental cross is the earliest type and very nice!
