Serious Iron Cross 1 Class

this ic was shown in several german forums.
nobody has any idea about this cross.
the cross looks ok, core is magnetic.
pin is not known.
anybody an idea?

Interesting cross --I like it.
My first guess would be that it is a Wagner variation. WS marked
Ek1s used a similar Hinge mounting block and some WuS marked
Ek2s had a kind of similar bloated "9" in the date.

as we found out in germany, but nobody can
say for sure. yes WS or WuS was also given
as maker for this cross. thank you

Hi Gen_Key,

this one had me puzzled also. I did once see one at ebay, but the state was too rusty. I did save the pictures and I will post them. At first I thought it was "square punch" but that is not correct. Could you ask for better crown photo's? As the cross is so heavily vaulted I cannot see all the proportions.

For what it's worth, I like the look of this cross. The core does not match anything in my collection so I am guessing this is a very uncommon variant.
