    Unknown Imperial Cross...??

This cross, measuring 29x29 mm, gold guilded appearance with crossed swords, on the obverse are the words; KAMPF-GE-NOSSEN VEREIN with SALZ-WEDEL in the centre and the date 1894 on the bottom. On the reverse is the makers name and address; PAUL KUST,BERLIN S.W. SEYDELSTRASSE 19 A. Is this an imperial cross or later. It came with the remnents of a ribbon and a very old pin attached. Any ideas? Thanks.

The scan doesn't do this medal any justice, the edges of this cross are very shiny gold in appearance with a lovely matt finish inside the borders.

I am definately going to have to get a Macro Lens for my camera, these scanned images are crapy.

Don't you just love modern scanners? I had to go out and buy one that was 10 years old to get decent quality on 3D objects.

The "Kampfgenossenverein Salzwedel" was an imperial veterans organization.
