    Fake Wagner Prinzen

Thanks, Guys. I regret it's bad news, but I'm happy to purge my collection of a fake!

    Best regards,
    Steve

Sorry for the fake Prinzen Steve but you have so many nice and rare other crosses. Case looks good judging by pics, what is the dimensions?

If the screwback Deumer Prinz got Silver frames it will be my first seen. Is the core magnetic?

Here's a Silver iron core Pinback and a Neusilber Brass core Screwback.

          Deumer Prinzen

          Carl,

Thanks for identifying the maker of this cross as Deumer. It's marked "800," so I believe it is silver. Here are some photos of the cross.

          Streptile,
Thanks for the offer on the case. I'm going to try and return it, so I'll need to send back both cross and case.

          Best regards,
          Steve

              Deumer Prinzen

              Carl,

In my haste to post the photos I forgot to add that the core is magnetic. Also, thanks for including photos of your two Deumers - they are both fantastic examples!

              Best regards,
              Steve

Wow, great Deumer Prince marked 800! A first for me personally, and unquestionably authentic.

That IS a lovely collection. I can't really say anything more that the other gents here haven't already said. GREAT quality there and I absolutely love the AWS crosses.

You have done very well for yourself!

Here is another Deumer Prinzen pinback.
I do not know if it has a silver frame or not. Perhaps Tony will reply to
this thread and let us know.

Very nice and a first for me! Silver frames, magnetic core and not the typical "Deumer plate and screw" makes me believe this is a early one. Plate could be replaced too of course but it looks to be as old as the cross. Also wonder if Deumer outsorced parts or whole crosses to other manufacturers as i saw a "similar looking" Prinz in a S&L catalogue. Pics were drawings and not photos as usual in catalogues from back then.

The 2 Deumers are not mine anymore, they reside in 2 other WAF members collections now. Will post the 800-mark from the pinback later, seems to be a match to yours.

Looks like a Silver framed one but is there brass pepping through on the core? Could be the white balance of pic too.

                            Meybauer Screwback

                            All,

Thanks again for all your kind remarks. I love collecting these 1914 EK1s because of the variety (makers & reverse construction) and quality of workmanship.

                            Here's my Meybauer screwback.

                            Thanks again & best regards,

                              Meybauer Pinback

Here's my Meybauer pinback. It's unmarked (except for silver content), but the obverse is identical to the screwback.
