Georg Feckl's civilian job is listed in some docs as Zimmermann, in others as a Berufsfeuerwehrmann in Munich. He received the Bavarian Military Merit Cross 3. Class with Crown and Swords on 28 April 1916. Besides 1. bay. Res.-Pion.-Kp., he also served in the field with 2. bay. Landw.-Pion.-Kp.
He was promoted to Sergeant on 10 March 1918. In May 1918, he began training as an aerial gunner with Flieger-Ersatz-Abteilung 1, but it appears the war ended before he saw more action. He was transferred to Armee-Flugpark C in October 1918 and released from active duty on 23 November 1918.
