Hello. Here is my newest pickup, a one piece Imperial EK2. There are some collectors who believe these are strictly theatrical jewelery items. I personally think they are period made (20's-30's) more affordable and probably unauthorized replacement badges. They seem to come in several styles and degrees of quality. This particular one has great detail and when dropped on a hard surface, rings like a silver coin. Anyway, I like it and hope you all like it too. I find them collectable in themselves. Opinions always welcome. Regards, Ron.

Very nice Ron. I agree these are collectible.
I am one of those who does not see these as legitimate replacement pieces, but rather as theatrical props or perhaps decorative items. However, as far as I'm concerned, all theories about these are essentially without evidence, so you may very well be correct in your estimation of their purpose. In any event it is a fascinating piece.
I do hope one day we can solve the mystery.Best regards,
Streptile
