Prussian Pilots badge in miniature Price?

Hello all,
I am about to purchase a Prussian pilots badge in miniature stickpin form; can anyone give me a ballpark figure on how much the current market value of this would be? I have never seen one of these for sale before so I have nothing to compare to. I am thinking as this would be quite rare, there really would be no average for this type of item.

When I have it in my hands I will post some pictures for everyone’s enjoyment.

There are big (31,5 or 21 mm), medium (16mm) or small (9mm) stickpins available for this award. Hüsken list these in his price guide as follows (1999):
big 350.- Marks
medium 180.- Marks
small 90.- Marks

To relate to nowadays prices, I would presume 2/3 of these numbers will give you a current value in USD.

Detlev lists them (1999) as follows:
big 350.- Marks
medium 120.- Marks
small 75.- Marks

Dear Frank

Thank you for your reply, I think from memory mine is the small 9mm version. When I get it tomorrow I will measure and photograph him and post a picture. From these figures it sounds like I’m getting it for a reasonably good price. Frank have you seen many of these for sale? This is the first one I’ve ever seen for sale here in Australia or even on the Internet. Thanks once again for you assistance.

As promised here are the pictures of my Prussian Pilot’s stickpin. The picture quality is not that good, it seems this Sony digital camera doesn’t like taken close-up shots.

It appears to have been repaired at same stage, notice the blob of silver solder around where the pin meets the badge.
