question about medal bars

I have a questin about that tags on the backs of medal bars. Were they a generic tailors tag, or the name of the owner.

Hi Mike,

The tag had the name of the tailor. There are a number of different tailor tags out there.

Thanks for the info Pierce. I thought I would ask because I have a tag with the name of Gustav Schuft ( I don't she his tag in the linlk), and I was wondering if he was the same Gustav Schuft who was the two time gold medal Olympian.

Medal bars and ribbon bars can be addictive expecially when you can trace it out to the original owner. That is what got me hooked on them.

Nice ones except for the 4 place bar in the lowest row, the one with Saxon and Austrian medal.

That, coming from a well-known bar faker on eBay, would not be one for my collection. You probably haven't bought it from him, but it's still the same recently put together bar...

They are everywhere!
