WK1 breadbag

Hello everyone,

I bought this breadbag last Saturday on a local flea market.

Is it a WK 1 breadbag with the canvas straps?

It has the right setup, but with the canvas parts instead of leather, and it looking a bit short, it might be a post war or early Third Reich (Hitler youth?) type bag.

I have not seen a breadbag with the canvas straps like this before, but with the leather shortage in Germany during the war, I can certainly understand why they might have needed to use the cloth.

I have a later war issue Zeltbahnzubehörbeutel and it has canvas straps, where you would normally see leather ones.

Is the little ink stamp legible?

Its a none military commercially available bag imo. Some of us W1 gig guys use them.
