Which manufacturer stands for "We" on EK I 1914

Are there consolidated findings and/or information for which manufacturer the mark “We” on EK I 1914 stands“?

I don't think there has been any confirmed findings (proof) one way or another.

But I accept that "We" stands for J. H. Werner, Berlin.

...except that, as far as I know We marked cores doe not match JH Werner marked cores.

For me it's probably a Werner, but which one has to remain a guess.
