    Cased screwback EK1 variant

    Here's a neat example of a well-worn piece. The most interesting aspect is the case itself.

    Here's the reverse of the EK1. I forgot to include the disc. DOH! But you know what they look like, no? The EK is vaulted and marked .800 on the upper arm of the cross.

      here's the top of the case, which is made of wood and covered in leatherette.
      It measures 55mm x 57mm and is 27mm tall. Smaller than average in LxW yet taller than most!

        here's an image of the interior of the case with the flocking removed. Note the pencil markings.

          here is the clasp to the case which is unfortunately missing the upper portion of the opening mechanism. This style was a precursor to the ubiquitious 'push-button' type. All in all, an acceptable example of an original cased period screwback EK1. Thanks very much for taking the time to view my thread!
