    1914 EK1 (cased Godet variant)

Here is one that should be considered somewhat of a rarity. The pin is marked with the usual 'G', but it also has .800, crown, and crescent moon marks as well! The inside of the pin has the owner's name engraved
( F. Richter) as well as some numbers.

interior of case (which is somewhat interesting as well) has a 'Prussian blue'
flocking which is raised quite significantly above the rim of the lower portion of the case, creating a dais effect upon which the award rests..

here is an image of the top of the case, which is a bit larger than your average EK1 case. It measures 72mm x 72mm and is 25mm tall. It is covered in a blackish-blue type of treated 'canvas' material.

          Excellent!

Very nice. The thing that I always find interesting is that when one considers the high quality of these Godet crosses, the cases they cam e in were rather cheesey!

Nice detailing on the crown! ANy dates on the inside of the case (assuming it isn't glued...).
