I have its twin, bought in the US for a fraction of the seller's current price.

I've already seen this kind of eagle with or without screwback system, 1st or 2nd class and in my opinion all are repros.
In particular this claws design is not, from my point of view, of any original SE.
      Any different opinion?

      Ciao,
      Mario

      A fake 2nd class

          Eagle

I am interested to learn more about these and in particular your comments about the fakes and the claws. Can you post close-up of your fake? Here is a thread with my 2nd class........I believe it is ok...

I repeat, this SE, in my opinion, is a fake.

The claws, the crown, the attachment end the general looking of this awards make me say "repro".
But I wait for more opinions.

To say the truth I have always thought that this type of award did not exist with screwback system, however this SE was in sale from Detlev some week ago.

                best regards,
                Mario

Remember they still made these things post-1950s for oldtimers who were entitled to them.

...and well into the 1990s too Robin.

Compare these to the Silesian eagles sold at "Pieces of History" @7 years ago.

Ibelieve the enameled type above was produced in Spain of all places.
