Anyone have any thoughts on the final price of the Hansen that just sold for 1232 Eu = $1623. I know this piece is scarce as hens teeth, but was pretty floored by the price. Jeff

The pics are still there;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=330700338161
It's one of the less common 938 examples.
Note that there were 5 bidders over 700 Euro and 3 over 1100 Euro so it wasn't just 2 desperate cashed up bidders willing to pay big Euro for it. Where are they when I want to sell though??!!

I'll add the photo for future reference.
By the way I saw a case for this cross at the SOS. It was very ornate, with a complex Hansen logo in gold on a cream box. It came with a nice "26" marked Mayer TR-era 1914 EK1 pinback, which I didn't want (and which didn't really fit), for $350. I asked the seller to split the set, but he said no. What an idiot I am -- I passed out of sheer stubborness. I should have gotten it, sold the "26" for $200, and kept the case.Attached FilesBest regards,

That is the same cross Kay used to own when he was studying Hansen and which he presented in our database:

Its even the same picture the seller used
