    New book project

A bunch of collectors from here and GMIC are trying to get together as many EK1+2 examples of the 1914 series crosses for a book. EK docs will also be included. If anyone has fine examples of crosses they would like to have shown all we need is 500dpi scans. Here is where to send them: kaiserscross@live.com

Any help would be greatly appreciated.<!-- / message -->

    Don,

I'm always interested in helping (if and where I can!). My only concern is not knowing what makers/variants, etc etc are still needed. Don't want to send tons of pics if they are no longer needed. Is it still early on in the book's research, enough to the point that most things are open and needed still?

And just to clarify, 1914 series only, correct?

      Hi,

      That is correct, just 1914-18.

We have a growing selection, but welcome all and any pics, it will allow us the possibility of selecting the best and most detailed.

At the moment EK1 is on the front burner, scan or photo at 90 degrees to the front front and back, plus close up of hinge and stamps if possible.

Best is to do one cross and send the pics to the above email, and we can check if they come out OK and take it from there.

      All help is greatly appretiated.

      Best
      Chris

What if one owns no scanner? Other close up pics invited as well?

Would like to contribute an Early 800/V EK1 and an unstamped EK2 of the same maker, both orders of my Grandfather. Additionally a very nice EK2 dokument with gravestone-graphic and an eagle catching a snake.

Will there be a list of the names of contributors or a hint in the text which cross belongs to whom? Not asking for copyrights or such.

          Hi,

good photos would be OK as well, the better the quality... the better.

Simply from the amount of Photos and documents, it will not be able to thank people for individual photos, we will of course be thanking all contrubutors on a seperate page.

          Best
          Chris

I'd be happy to photograph my few EKs for you. Do you want or need anything other than 90ยบ? What about size, background, lighting.....
            Thanks,
            Eric Gaumann
