    Anhalt Freidrich Cross Questions

I posted some pics of a ribbon bar I had picked up in a trade the other week to find out what the ribbons were for and one of them was a Anhalt Freidrich cross ribbon. I was wondering what this award would have been awarded for? Is it a military award for bravery or something similar?
Also, I was thinking of displaying it with my Prussian Pilots badge but I think that the ribbons are mounted in the southern German style so would these two go together or not really?

    Thanks,
    Brett

    Hi Brett,

it is indeed a bravery award. Its the Anhalt equivalent to the prussian Iron Cross. I see no problems to display it together with a Pilot badge.

      Thanks Gerd,

I wasn't to sure if it would be out of place with a Prussian Pilots Badge.
I'm not up to speed with Imperial stuff but I am finding it very interesting. Even something as simple as this ribbon bar has had me reading through all the old posts on the Imperial forums.
      Thanks for the help,

      Regards,
      Brett

        Brett,

thats the thrill on Imperial Medal bars or Ribbon bars. In some cases you can even trace the owner and add a name and History to your bars. I like Imperial stuff much more than TR-items. I am quite sure, that you will love it, when you sniff in it a little more.

        best,
        Gerd
