    Thanks Trevor.
One of these years I'm going to make it out there. I would really
like to meet you and Tony and some of the other faceless friends
I have made through the forum.

      Hi Greg,

Happy you enjoyed the photos, etc.

Yes, try and make it down next year. I know I'll be there again -- I wouldn't miss it for the world.
      Best regards,
      Streptile

Man Trev, how about some video quality?! The audio was sub par and I felt like we should have had an intro to the tour by our guide

lol in all seriousness thanks for sharing and great pics and love the vid. It's been years since I've gone and I REALLY need to get back to that show. Great stuff though

          Greg,

Come on down. You're always welcome at my table. That goes for any WAF member also.

The only Imperial item I managed to pick up is a Prussian pilot's badge. What is interesting is that it was a TR era made badge by B.H. Mayer and marked L /18 on the pin.

          Tony

I just may take you up on that.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of your pilot's badge.

Thanks for posting the description Trev, I feel like I've been there now, apart from not being broke yet

I haven't been to the SOS but I've attended some of the big shows in Europe and I know what you mean about being overwhelmed, too much to look at all at once and of course we want it all. Don't know about you but the next day my head is spinning, more so than the first day. Taking a list of wants is the best approach and of course trying to stick to the list

Man, that video shows me one thing. There is a cr*pload of stuff out there that still doesn't reside in someone's collection.

That one is Steve Previtera's. I'd imagine he's open to offers.

BTW Trevor, how much was the 1813 EKII you saw at the show? Since I saw one in the Leipzig monument museum a few years ago I have wanted one.

                            Great report streptile, thanks.

In particular, I think that the video very well conveys the vast size of the show. I understand that this year’s show consisted of 1.000 tables; but it doesn’t end there. The word is that they are expanding to 1,400 next year; you just can’t cover that in one day.
One word of advice - a good comfortable pair of shoes!

Incidentally, in case you didn’t see it, here is another one from the show -

                            Thank you again streptile.
