    Naval Wound Badge

What are thoughts on the naval wound badge up on Gailen's site?

I've been looking for a gold naval wound badge for quite some time now. Genuine gold examples are rare. I have a black and a silver naval wound badge. I have seen many doctored up "gold" badges along the way. This one doesn't match any known types of naval WBs.

The swords and the anchor are definately "weird". The modeling of the anchor and swords lack the precision of detail and depth that is present on originals. Of the three types of naval badges shown in Hamelman's "German Wound Badges" This one is not a match to any. Further the scale or proportions of the badge are not very good. I don't know how to explain this other than when you have seen genuine examples the differences become glaring.

I do need a gold example for complete a set of naval wound badges. IMO this one would not be the one for my collection.
