EK 1 maker?

Hello gentlemen,

I'm not a real Imperial EK collector, but I needed a EK 1 for my collection, so I snapped this one up:

Can somebodyd help me with the maker, because the cross is not marked.

Btw, is there some kind of a good reference book on Imperial EK's?
Just in case I get hooked on them ;-)

The maker is KO, an unknown maker of a lot of awarded EK1s.

I would be surprised if there was no mark under the catch.

The seller says there is no makers mark, but since I just bought the cross today I have it not in hand.

When you get it, look under the hook catch at the bottom. There should be a KO stamp there. These are common, but are the crosses that were actually awarded, and every collection of Iron Crosses should have one.

The cross arrived today, and there is indeed a KO below the hook catch
