I am leaning towards my potential buy being a good one based on these examples.

Does anyone have an opinion on the badge I posted?

            Thanks

Yes, I have an opinion. And it is just an opinion, but I think it's
The lettering is just too melty.
The disk on the back that holds the pin is smaller that known examples.
There is sign of soldering spill, or bubble through =poor workmanship.

wait to find an nice one for sale...it's not too hard, preferably from a longstanding dealer that has had lots of these pass by his desk.

Thank you for your opinion and advice. I think I will leave this one.

Yesterday I asked for better photos as the scanner flash has distored the initial photos posted above.
Unfortunately I got these....they are too blurry to see any detail but they do show the colour of the badge minus the flash.

It would still be great to hear more opinions good or bad.

                Many thanks

                  Update

I now have this badge in hand and it looks quite good, very detailed and nothing like what the seller's scans represent.

It is light but I do not have another to gauge this against.
I have nothing dead accurate to weigh it with but it weighs about 15-20 grams and measures 32mm by 40mm.

I think it is made from copper-bronze silver plated or maybe aluminium given its weight.

Is it good/bad? I have a 7 day inspection period and all views are appreciated.

                  Many thanks

Just looking at the other examples posted here; this one is very like the one Ron has shown for comparison.

                        Pierce,

Looks JUST like mine to include the die flaw at the upper right hand corner of the reverse, and the lower outside edge composition is the same.

Mine weighs 12 grams, so it is relatively light.

                        Best regards,
                        RonR

Thanks for taking a look Ron. I did notice the die flaw on the reverse and this is what started my looking in detail once I received it here. I am hoping to get hold of some accurate scales this weekend and get an exact weight. I think we both have the aluminium version!

                          Kind regards
                          Pierce
